AI engineering / a connected practice

Follow the
connections.

I build the systems that help engineering teams turn AI into dependable, everyday work.

04 connected case studies

Where my curiosity goes next

01

Agentic engineering

Autonomous workflows with explicit state, observable failures, and human judgment at the right points.

02

Developer experience

Portable context, useful tooling, and systems that teams can operate and extend without their creator.

03

Decision systems

Probability, incentives, feedback loops, and the difference between a good decision and a lucky outcome.

04

Human enablement

Runnable examples, concise documentation, and teaching that changes how people actually work.

An unconventional path

Different disciplines.
One way of thinking.

I'm a full stack consultant at Slalom, working across agentic delivery, developer platforms, and enterprise software. My work runs from discovery and architecture through implementation, security, release engineering, and the handoff to people who will operate it.

Before software, I spent more than a decade as a professional poker player and won a World Series of Poker bracelet. That experience still shapes how I work: model the system, question the assumptions, and make the best decision the evidence supports.

  1. 2009–2020

    Professional poker player

Probability, independent study, and decisions under uncertainty. World Series of Poker bracelet winner.

  2. 2021

    Software engineering

Full stack training at Bloom Institute of Technology and development at Range Trainer Pro.

  3. 2022–NOW

    Enterprise delivery → AI engineering

At Slalom since June 2022. Transfer to AI Engineering and promotion to Senior in progress.
